About Me
Hi Friends.
A little info about me just to satisfy those that are curious.
I am retired, 65, and loving it. I spent a few years in the Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic and then as a Submarine Mechanic. After that I turned wrenches for various Automobile and RV Dealerships. In 1979 I entered a new world, that of “Teaching” as an Automotive Technologies Instructor for Universal Technical Institute in Texas.
In 1981 I moved to New York (I married a Yankee so here I are) and taught for Lincoln Technical Institute for 2 years. Shortly after that I got the opportunity to teach for the UAW Training Center in Syracuse NY. Adult Education is, in my opinion, one of the most challenging and rewarding professions one could choose. I loved it and stayed there for over 20 years teaching a variety of courses. When they closed the doors (sold the Company) I retired and moved out of the city.
Now I get to do what I want (pretty much) and sharing my knowledge in this blog is one of them. I hope you enjoy it.
Layard
