This review is on the “ProfitMonster” membership program. Unfortunately I cannot give it a “thumbs up” for a couple of reasons.

The first thing I noticed (and this something I check with every affiliate program I promote) is that when I sent someone to my affiliate link for that program and they signed up for the Free “Secret” Newsletter they did, in fact, receive the Newsletter and the link in the Newsletter was to the program owners clickbank link… NOT mine.

SO… being that marketing history on the Web indicates that people don’t purchase these types of offers on the first visit what is really going on here. I (or You) do the marketing, You pay for the Adwords or Yahoo campaign costs, someone visits YOUR link but doesn’t sign up. There or four emails later they decide to join. Guess who is going to get the commission from YOUR marketing efforts… ? Not you sports fan.

In interest of being fair I sent an email to support in respects to that occurrence…  Copy Below

and as of today 5/18/09 I have not received a response… but I DID receive more emails touting additional opportunities with the same return address.

So far that is 2 strikes… one for not maintaining continuity for that affiliates in the Newsletter, and two for not responding to a support request within 48 hours during normal (Monday -Friday) work days. Actually the first Strike was when I visited the ProfitMonster site the first time and saw this…

One of the things I make sure of (as a Webmaster) is that all my Images and Hyperlinks display and function properly. Something that happens frequently with affiliate sites linked to FROM affiliate sites is exactly what has happened here. The image links were on an affiliate site that no longer exists… hmm, I wonder how long it has been since the owner of this program has even looked at, much less checked, his site?

That is 3 Strikes folks… and in most arenas that means YOUR OUT!

Yes I did purchase the Membership… With Tax it cost me $53.95 so I am NOT bashing something I didn’t buy.

Is there any value there? Yes, some, but even within the Membership area some of the links either don’t work or are to programs that they themselves require a further investment on your part other than the expected marketing costs.

My final opinion…don’t waste your time or money with this one.
